Get ready to be mesmerized by the roaring waters, lush green surroundings, and picturesque landscapes that will leave you speechless because it is Geiranger.

Standing and viewing Geiranger from Flydalsjuvet, you see 2 mountain sides. On the left side, you can see the Homlong area, and on the right side, you can see from the bottom to the top Grande, Møll, and the Eagle Bend with the viewpoint at the top road turn. And the county road 63 snaking its way up and over to Eidsdal, where you can take a ferry ride over to the other side of that fjord to get tå Ålesund or up to Trollstigen or Troll Ladder.

The view from Flydalsjuvet below.

Flydalsjuvet

The viewpoints in Geiranger are 3 places for the most part. They are called Flydalsjuvet and the Ørnesvingen (Eagle Bend) with Dalsnibba mountain, lot higher up at 1500 meters above sea level.

Right above the center of Geiranger, and you pass it on the road down from Strynefjellet, is Flydalsjuvet.

Flydalsjuvet

On the right side of Flydalsjuvet, you will find Ørnesvingen, or Eagle Bend in English.

Ørnesvingen

You can enjoy the view of the center of Geiranger.

Ørnevegen and Ørnesvingen

Or out of the fjord with the seven sisters waterfalls on the right side of the Geirangerfjord.

Geirangerfjord seen from Ørnesvingen, Norway

The mountain viewpoint at Dalsnibba. It is a spectacular view. 1500 metres above sea level, and you can drive up to see this view. But the toll road is a bit expensive. The prices are as of 2025: car and camper (350.00 NOK) and motorcycle (180.00 NOK).

Dalsnibba

And teaser video from YouTube below.

And this is the drive up there and down again.

And one less hidden gem is the tip where you can stand and be photographed, like the photo below. This is the most spectacular and fantastic viewpoint and landmark in Geiranger ever. It is very slippery on the path down to this viewpoint when it is wet after rain. The path starts behind the toilets at the lower part of Flydalsjuvet. The video showing how to get down to the viewpoint is after the photo below.

And here is the video. Enjoy!
