What to do in Ålesund city?
A tip is to start with a walk around the harbor. Enjoying the view. Below is one good photo from Flickr to showcase the experience. Visit the shops, cafes, resturants, museums and other places.

If you want to photograph or film Ålesund city from above you can walk up the 418 steps in the stair to Fjellstua, the cafe/resturant at the top. Their balcony overview platform will charge you approx, 100 NOK. But, you can try to stand outside or below in the stairs to aviod that if you want. It might be open if the cafe is closed or outside the tourist season.
