Travel to Ålesund city

Travelling to Ålesund is fairly simple.

• By car
  Just go to your navigation app like Google Maps and add Ålesund, and start your journey. The app will guide you to the city of Ålesund.
• By bus
  The city has two main bus hot spots, one at the Moa area and one in the center of Ålesund. You have several express bus routes that stop at Ålesund in these 2 places. Check your bus schedule.
• By plane
  You land at the Ålesund airport, Vigra, and can choose between a taxi or a bus to get to the city.
• By train
  The train diverts from the main railroad at Dombås and heads west to Åndalsnes. There you need to change to the bus to Ålesund. A layover in Åndalsnes and a visit to the Romsdalen Cable Car are a must.
• By ship
  If you travel on the Coastal Express, you can easily disembark in Ålesund city at the harbor and, within walking distance, reach hotels. If needed, you can also take a taxi to the hotel or camping spot.
